Rise Against Hunger is an international humanitarian organization dedicated to ending hunger and malnutrition around the world. Founded in 1998, it operates primarily in vulnerable regions of Africa, Asia, and Latin America, with a strong focus on sustainable, long-term solutions. The organization is widely known for its meal packaging programs, which mobilize volunteers worldwide to assemble nutritious meals. These meals are distributed to food-insecure populations—especially children—often through school feeding programs that also support access to education. Beyond emergency food aid, Rise Against Hunger implements community-based development programs aimed at strengthening resilience and self-sufficiency. These initiatives include support for local agriculture, access to clean water and sanitation, nutrition education, and capacity building within local communities. Its mission is clear: to end hunger by addressing its root causes, while engaging individuals, companies, NGOs, and institutions in impactful, measurable, and collective action. Cristina Bowerman supports the Italian branch of the organization.
