Gadens Børn is an association founded in 2012 by Pia Lindell Qwist, who became aware of what children left to their own devices on the streets go through during a trip to Kolkata, India. She then launched this non-profit organization to help children and young people in socially vulnerable situations. The aim is to intervene on several fronts with different programs: education, health, access to food, activities in the slums, a home for girls… Thanks to 14 projects, every day in Calcutta, the association helps more than 1,200 children and young women achieve a better and brighter future.
