Established in 2016, Electrolux Food Foundation is an independent non-profit organization. Its mission is to encourage healthier, more sustainable food choices among consumers and professionals, while supporting communities in need.
To achieve these objectives, it focuses on three pillars:
- support for people in need, including food donations through local initiatives and partnerships with international organizations such as the Red Cross;
- raising awareness and educating children about sustainable eating through Food Heroes workshops;
- professional training enabling underprivileged people to access sustainable and responsible cooking courses.
Since 2021, the foundation has also launched Replate.com, a platform focused on education and awareness of sustainable food. Replate also features original recipes from committed chefs, centered around themes such as less waste and eating more plant-based.
