Axfoundation is an independent, non-profit organization that takes a concrete and pragmatic approach to building a sustainable society. Convinced that the private sector is a key driver of change, they initiate and lead numerous projects in partnership with businesses. Alongside more than 300 partners from various sectors, they address both local and global sustainability challenges, focusing on practical issues: what we consume, what we eat, and the resources we use.
Torsåker Farm serves as their development center for future food and materials. It is here that they accelerate the transition toward sustainable food systems and materials, in the interest of the climate, the environment, and public health. Working closely with researchers and practitioners, they take on complex challenges and develop tangible solutions—whether in the soil, in aquatic environments, or in the experimental kitchens and labs of the barn (Ladugården).
