In cooking, Davy Tissot has found a way to give meaning to his life: making people happy through his creations, while at the same time entering a world that resembles a vast family whose members share a love of work well done. Meilleur Ouvrier de France 2004 and Bocuse d’Or 2021, after spending many years as a chef in various restaurants, then as a teacher at the Institut Lyfe, he puts his experience at the service of anyone wishing to devote their lives to culinary competition. Davy also feels compelled to recharge his batteries in nature and to exercise to the max. Particularly sensitive to the cause of children, when he runs the Marathon des Sables, for example, he asks his sponsors to make a donation to the Lyon-based association he sponsors: Docteur CLOWN.
Docteur CLOWN
As a marginal, offbeat character, the clown is a distorting mirror who creates laughter, pleasure and astonishment, as he allows us to transgress established codes. In a hospital, the clown serves as an outlet for the pressure inherent in the place. By acting as a disruptive force, his presence doesn’t erase sick children’s pain, but keeps it at bay. A real catalyst, the clown helps the child overcome the anxiety of hospitalization.
In their own way, the clowns take care of the child, the family and the caregivers. By bringing them a world of laughter, color, magic, storytelling and music, they help to:
- Relax sick children and take their minds off the hospital.
- Reinforce the effectiveness of therapeutic actions undertaken by medical teams.
That’s why the Docteur CLOWN association brings professional clowns into Lyon hospitals.
