Diane Dupré La Tour came up with the idea of creating a friendly canteen after local residents reached out to her at a difficult time in her life. Meals are an important part of our day, a time for sharing, exchanging and interacting… Unfortunately, many people spend them alone. Les Petites Cantines offers a convivial way to cook and eat together in the neighborhoods of Lyon and elsewhere in France. With a purpose that goes beyond the fight against social exclusion and loneliness, the association aims to promote the foundations of a society based on trust.
