Glisse en Coeur is a fabulous mountain charity event organized since 2008 in the resort of Le Grand Bornand. To date, nearly 5.5 million euros have been donated to 31 associations. This success is based on a unique concept combining solidarity and skiing in relay teams from Saturday 2:00 p.m. to Sunday same time, all in a feverish atmosphere featuring live concerts given each winter by headliners from the French music scene. The challenge for the competing teams is to race down the eponymous slope (each winter, the equivalent of a virtual round-the-world race is completed at Le Grand-Bornand), but not before raising several hundred thousand euros in an intensive online fund-raising campaign, in support of recognized children’s charities.
In 2026, the association Ma Chance Moi Aussi has been selected as the main beneficiary.
The event is organized under the umbrella of the Fonds de Dotation pour l’Enfance, which is behind several 24-hour amateur sports and leisure charity events. This unique umbrella structure, governed by an ethics committee, now brings together Glisse en Cœur as well as Vendée Cœur (Les Sables d’Olonne) and Danse en Cœur (Lyon).
Its mission is to protect and support children — and their families — whose life journeys are marked by health or social challenges. It contributes to improving their living conditions, promoting access to healthcare, education, sport, and culture, and fostering environmental awareness.
