A former officer in the U.S. Navy, chef Jordan Foley was studying at Georgetown Law School when a dramatic event turned his life upside down. Marked by the suicide of a veteran friend, who was struggling financially to start a restaurant, Jordan wondered about the support his friend had missed. After twelve years in the army, he was also aware of the challenges military personnel face when they leave the service.
So he decided to take action and launch Let’s Chow, an association that helps veterans find a new vocation, by turning to his lifelong passion: cooking. He will complete his culinary training in 2021, a year after creating the structure and setting up a program that offers not only culinary skills, but also concrete tools for creating and managing food truck businesses. Over and above practical training, his initiative is a real springboard to economic independence for those who, like him, have devoted part of their lives to serving their country.
