Olivier Chaput

Olivier Chaput has been passionate about cooking from an early age. He enrolled at the Lycée Hôtelier in Limoges, then took the plunge and opened his first restaurant at the age of 26, with a special feature: no children’s menu, so as not to confine youngsters to simple dishes like steak and French fries or ham and potatoes. Throughout his career, he has been committed to youth nutrition. Between 2012 and 2013, he took part in the TV show Un chef à ma porte on the Gulli channel before joining several programs on France 5, with the main aim of introducing children to healthy eating from an early age. Today, he is regularly called upon in the media as an expert on children’s nutrition.
In 2011, he created the association Les Enfants Cuisinent to raise awareness of healthy eating among young people. They organize workshops led by the association’s chefs for people aged 2 to 20, to help them become independent cooks in adulthood. In 2016, he launched the #BON festival, Bring Back Your Parents! This commitment earned him a knighthood in the Ordre National du Mérite Agricole in 2018. Nicknamed children’s favorite chef, Olivier Chaput continues his mission to educate young people about healthy eating.

Les Enfants Cuisinent

Les Enfants Cuisinent (The Children Cook), an association founded by Olivier Chaput in 2011, promotes healthy, tasty food among children and young people. Its actions revolve around three initiatives:

  • Chefs go to schools, cooking workshops for children and young people from kindergarten to high school;
  • Today, I cook with a chef, offering cooking workshops for young people at public events and in children’s facilities;
  • Festival Bon, a food and gastronomy fair for children.

The chef, who is campaigning for cooking to be taught in schools, wants to encourage future generations to eat well, cook regularly and talk about health…
